LAKE CIRCUIT

Starting from the top of the Kosciuszko Express Chairlift in Thredbo, this iconic alpine walk leads to the summit of Australia’s highest mountain via a gently undulating metal walkway and expansive high-country views.
Beginning at Charlotte Pass, this stunning circuit winds through alpine landscapes, past glacial lakes and rugged peaks, including Blue Lake and Carruthers Peak, before looping back to the trailhead.
Departing from Thredbo Village (or the chairlift top station for a shorter option), this scenic trail descends through snow gum forest and open meadows with sweeping valley views—perfect in autumn for golden foliage.
Accessed from near Perisher Gap in Perisher Valley, this short trail climbs gently through alpine bush and granite boulders to a rocky outcrop offering panoramic views across the Crackenback Valley and down to Crackenback Resort.
Starting from Guthega Village near the power station, this tranquil riverside walk crosses a suspension bridge over the Snowy River and continues through open alpine terrain to a peaceful picnic area.
This well-formed alpine track begins at Charlotte Pass and branches off the Main Range Track, leading to a dramatic lookout over one of Australia’s only glacial lakes—spectacular in wildflower season.
Starting at Sawpit Creek picnic area just outside Jindabyne, this family-friendly loop winds through eucalypt forest and along a small creek to a quiet waterfall—ideal for nature lovers.
