Mobile coverage is generally available throughout the region, although signal strength can vary depending on your provider and exact location within the Snowy Mountains. There are two mobile towers situated in the resort itself.

Yes. Guests have access to dining options within Crackenback Resort as well as a wider selection of restaurants, cafés and bars in both Jindabyne and Thredbo.

Jindabyne is the region's primary service centre and offers supermarkets, bottle shops, pharmacies, cafés, restaurants, ski and bike hire stores, service stations and other essential services.

Crackenback is located just before the entry to Kosciuszko National Park, so a park pass is not required to access the resort.

Yes. Vehicle entry fees apply when visiting Kosciuszko National Park and vary depending on the season.

Firewood and kindling are available for purchase from supermarkets and service stations in Jindabyne.

The indoor heated pool is available for guests between 8:00am and 8:00pm daily, providing a comfortable option for swimming year-round.

Yes. Snowfall occasionally occurs in both locations during winter, although accumulation and frequency vary each season. Crackenback generally receives more snowfall than Jindabyne due to its higher elevation, while significant snowfalls in Jindabyne are less common.

Snow chains are not normally required to access Crackenback Resort itself, as the resort is located outside Kosciuszko National Park.

However, if you plan to drive into the National Park during the snow season, chains must be carried in accordance with park regulations.

Booking directly provides a more cost-effective booking experience, direct communication with the local management team and support from people who know the region. You'll still enjoy the same accommodation while avoiding many of the additional fees charged by third-party booking platforms.

All properties offer self check-in using a keypad, lockbox or digital entry system. This allows guests to arrive at a time that suits them without needing to visit a reception desk.

Property access information, including arrival instructions and access codes, is typically sent approximately 48 hours before check-in.

• Sydney to Jindabyne: 5 to 6 hours
• Canberra to Jindabyne: around 2 to 2.5 hours
• Jindabyne to Crackenback: approximately 15 minutes
• Jindabyne to Thredbo: approximately 30 minutes

Travel times can vary depending on weather and traffic conditions.

Crackenback Resort is conveniently located between the major ski resorts:

• Approximately 20 minutes by car to Thredbo
• Around 15 minutes to Perisher via the Skitube

During winter, guests enjoy a complimentary shuttle service between the resort and the Skitube terminal.

The nearest major airport is Canberra Airport, located roughly 2 hours and 15 minutes away by road.
